Homemade Hemp Milk
Hemp milk is by far my favorite alternative milk. It is creamy, tastes delicious, and froths excellently for lattes. Not to mention hemp is full of protein, iron, magnesium and omegas! Healthy and delicious? Sign me up…
Now I’ve tried finding it at the grocery store, but all the ones I’ve managed to find have tons of stabilizers, synthetic vitamins, or tons of sugar added. So I tried my hand at making it myself and guys, it gets even better! Hemp milk is by far the easiest alternative milk to make at home. There’s no overnight soaking, no boiling of hot water, not even straining through a nut bag required to make delicious and creamy hemp milk at home! It’s so easy, even I make it fresh each morning for my breakfast. And you know me and my mornings… if it isn’t done in a few minutes it’s not getting done before I rush out the door!
I’m including measurements for both a single serving and a week’s supply if you want to keep it in the fridge for grab and go. You can dump all the ingredients in a blender, let it go for 1-2 minutes until super creamy, pour and enjoy! There can be a little grit left to it, so if that bothers you definitely go ahead and strain it through a nut bag, but I don’t find that necessary after 2 minutes in the blender. If storing, shake before use.
